Stages & Stereos has released two singles on Valentine’s Day, “Remember You” and “Co- Dependent (Good Enough)” via. YouTube which got positive feedback on their Twitter. This week, Stages & Stereos debuted their latest single “Julia Gulia.”
If you have yet to hear their new music, I recommend listening to their stuff. “Julia Gulia” is a song that displays Stages & Stereos style when performing but also displays that the group has evolved their musical stylings. The song is both angsty and catchy and talks about leaving a comfortable space. In the chorus, the lyrics “I prevent myself from getting over you” shows a struggle and conflict of leaving someone. Daniel Lancaster, the vocalist of Stages & Stereos, was in a serious relationship and used his previous relationship as a way to write the song, which is clever and relates to people on an emotional level. Plus, instrumentally, the track is a tune that gets stuck in your head.
I’ve been listening to their music since 2013, and they’re always a great group to listen to in the car. I first heard the group live when they toured with Mayday Parade back in 2013 on the Glamour Kills Tour. Stages & Stereos will be playing a show at The Side Bar Theatre in Tallahassee, Florida on April 21.
In other news, Yellowcard released their final music video as a group for the song “A Place We Set Afire,” Brendon Urie announced that he will be performing on Broadway’s play “Kinky Boots” this summer on Twitter, The Maine has started a second season of “Miserable Youth” on their YouTube page that will show The Maine on tour, Envy On The Coast signed to Equal Vision Records, COIN released a new song off of their upcoming album “Don’t Cry, 2020,” and All Time Low announced via. Twitter that Waterparks will support them on their 3 day tour in Japan.
Rock on, stay humble, and be positive!
