Bands That Should Make A Comeback in 2020

In honor of bands like My Chemical Romance, Go Radio, and Motion City Soundtrack reuniting this year, I figured I’d post about bands I hope reunite in this upcoming decade.

Personal note: I have listened to all of these band and hope they get the recognition, attention, and listenership they deserve. If you have yet to hear any of these bands, add them to your list of bands to check out!

Transit

Transit was a rock band from Massachusetts. The group formed in 2006 and broke up in 2016. The group’s 10 year band experience contained five full length albums, four EPs, and a split EP with Man Overboard.

The group’s last full length album was Joyride released October 21, 2014 via. Rise Records. The album features singles like “The Only One” and “Rest To Get Better.”

I was fortunate enough to see Transit’s last Long Island perform on the “I’m Getting Good At Saying Goodbye” tour. The cool thing about the group’s last tour is there was a live stream via. Facebook every night of each show. The tour was across the Northeast of the United States, and the group felt like every fan deserved to see the show each night which I found to be very humbling. See my experience here.

Major League

Major League was an alternative band from New Jersey. The group formed in 2010 and broke up in 2016. During the group’s six year run, the group released two extended plays, a compilation album, and two studio albums (Hard Feelings in 2012 and There’s Nothing Wrong With Me, 2014.)

The group’s last album released was There Is Nothing Wrong With Me which released November 3, 2014 via. No Sleep Records. I got the chance to see Major League at Amityville Music Hall and interview Brian Joyce about the group’s decision to part ways. Though Major League isn’t together, Brian Joyce has a new project Val Astaire.

Moose Blood

Moose Blood is a pop punk group from the U.K. Moose Blood released and EP and 3 albums: I’ll Keep You In Mind, From Time To TimeBlush, and I Don’t Think I Can Do This Anymore. Luckily I got the chance to see Moose Blood at a show in New Jersey at the Stone Pony (read about my experience here.)

The group is currently on a hiatus after allegations from a fan involving sexual misconduct. The group released a statement sharing they need to step away from music. My desire is that Moose Blood resolves the allegations and continues to make music.

Search The City

Search The City is an alternative rock group. I fell in love with Search The City after hearing Flight in 2013. During Search The City’s activity in the music scene, there has been two EPs released and two full length albums. Search The City is currently on a hiatus, and I’d love to see Search The City make a comeback in the new decade!

What bands would you like to make a comeback? Let me know @ovictoriamedia.

Rock on, stay humble, and be positive!

Bands I Had On Repeat In 2019

Throughout the year, a lot of new music has been released. In addition to listening to new music that released, I had specific bands on repeat I’ve grown to love. To commemorate the ending of 2019, I wanted to dedicate a blog to bands I’ve had on repeat!

The Band CAMINO

Starting 2019, The Band CAMINO was a band I was really digging this year. I discovered the group in 2018 and instantly wanted to listen to that band.

I saw The Band CAMINO live in September for the group’s “North American Tour 2019” at Webster Hall. The tour was sold out and such a fun show! The Band CAMINO sounds the same live and they do on Spotify and had great interactions with the fans.

Trophy Eyes

After seeing Trophy Eyes with Neck Deep on “The Peace And The Panic Tour 2,” I began listening a lot to Trophy Eyes. The group’s latest album, The American Dream (2018) is what got me into listening to their music. I first discovered Trophy Eyes on a Glamour Kills Sampler and slept on their music.

Speak Low If You Speak Love

I’ve seen Speak Low If You Speak Love when they were with Neck Deep on “The Peace And The Panic Tour 1” and instantly fell in love with Ryan Scott Graham’s voice live. Ryan Scott Graham is in State Champs, and this is a side project he’s been creating music with. Speak Low If You Speak Love released Nearsighted in January of 2018 and has been on repeat in my car wherever I go.

I saw Speak Low If You Speak Love in September on the group’s small tour. The venue I went to had about 50+ people at it to see Ryan Scott Graham’s set. I was up close and personal experiencing Speak Low If You Speak Love live.

In Her Own Words

I discovered In Her Own Words in May and immediately added them to my list of 19 Bands To Check Out In 2019. I fell in love with the group’s sound. It reminds me a lot of Cartel, State Champs, and Mayday Parade all in one. The vocals remind me a lot of Will Pugh, and instrumentally the group sounds like those three bands. In Her Own Words released Steady Glow in April of 2019, and I’ve had it on repeat since the album release!

I saw In Her Own Words open for Sleep On It in July, and outstanding was an understatement. I spoke with the vocalist of In Her Own Words after the concert, and Joey Fleming was so humble and so kind! The group is beyond talented, and a group to keep an eye out for in the coming years!

Let me know if you’ve check out any of these bands @ovictoriamedia.

Rock on, stay humble, and be positive!
